Visitors of the festival experience the entire spectrum of artistic creation: over 50 open studios, readings, exhibitions, dance shows, lectures, film, performances,
concerts, installations, lectures. A parkour through the entire house over 4 floors. Different participation formats offer the public of all ages the opportunity to try out artistic techniques and methods. In this way, the processual forms an ideal basis for encounters and exchanges among the festival participants*. In addition to body percussion, plaster casting, etc. to take part in, circus pedagogues provide eventful childcare.
On the outdoor area, the stage of the Atelier Mobile, a hiking tent with an artistic programme, invites visitors to various programme items.
In the first phase of the festival, one- to two-day workshops from 1.6. - 14.6.2019 are aimed specifically at artists*, artists and ambitious interested parties. They will address themes such as "Urban spaces and artistic interventions", "Performance", "Composition", "Curation" and "Holography". The results will be presented at the festival.
As the largest studio house in Cologne, the Atelierhaus Quartier am Hafen is a place of artistic dialogue, research, production and exchange. More than 100 professional visual artists, media artists, designers, restorers, dancers, musicians and composers have been working here since 2010. In addition to its function as a studio house, the Quartier am Hafen sees itself as a place for interdisciplinary exchange.
